How to create continuous sparks in flash?

I have been searching the net for tutorials, examples, etc to no avail. I have to create a welding animation in flash, and all I have left is to figure out how to create sparks in flash. So far the tutorials I've found make sparks when clicking a on, but I need CONTINUOUS sparks that would be attached to a torch. Anyone have thoughts how I can start to figure this out? I think I could figure out how to do it with a little brainstorming from someone else. So pretty much if you tested the movie, the sparks would animate from an exact x and y location on the stage, and it would stay in the same place for an unlimited amount of time.
