Isn't a vampire basically the same as a cannibal?

no.. vampires (as I've read and heard) dont eat their kill, they burn it. cannibals eat it, for sure.. here is the definition, (from Spanish caníbal, in connection with cannibalism among the Antillean Caribs)[1] is the act or practice of humans eating other humans.
